1978

Humble Beginnings

Foundation laid by Mr. Binod Bansal Ji with a small-scale petrochemical refining venture under the name G N Chemicals.

Focused initially on refining by-products of petroleum and laundering dirty oils, with strong emphasis on industrial recycling and resource recovery.

Embodied the values of perseverance, entrepreneurship, and sustainable practices from the very inception.

1991

First Major Infrastructure Development

Acquired industrial land on lease from the District Industries Centre (DIC) to set up a formal manufacturing unit for G N Chemicals.

Began structured operations under regulatory norms, focusing on hazardous waste management and recycling of industrial oils.

Became one of the few licensed entities in Chhattisgarh for handling hazardous waste in an environmentally compliant manner.

2005

Entry of Next Generation Leadership

Mr. Achal Bansal, elder son of Mr. Binod Bansal Ji, joined the business after completing his Electrical Engineering degree.

Brought in professional management of production and operations.

Focus on modernizing equipment and expanding refinery capabilities with better quality control and process optimization.

2013

Strategic Corporate Reinforcement

Mr. Akash Bansal (Mechanical Engineer) and Mr. Ishant Bansal (FCA, CFA, CMT) joined the business, strengthening the company's financial, procurement, research, and client relationship capabilities.

Introduction of a corporate governance mindset in business operations.

Initiated plans for vertical diversification beyond petrochemical recycling.

2015

Strategic Pivot – Launch of Gowardhan Biochem

Gowardhan Biochem was established to enter the Non-Edible Oil Extraction business, focusing initially on Neem Oil.

Set up a Solvent Extraction Plant for minor forest produce-based oils, diversifying the group from hazardous waste recycling to agro-processing.

Began working with reputed clients in fertilizer and chemical sectors.

2017

Business Flourishing Phase

Added major fertilizer companies to client base, including:

Indian Farmers Fertilizers Cooperative Limited (IFFCO)
Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers Limited (RCF)
Chambal Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd

Capacity Expansion and Infrastructure Consolidation

Acquired 12 acres of land to prepare for future expansions under the sustainability and renewable energy segments.

Strategic preparation for next phase of business transformation towards bio-based industries.

2021

Launch of Gowardhan Biochem Private Limited

Gowardhan Biochem Private Limited (GBCPL) formally incorporated to venture into organic compound extraction from herbal and medicinal plants.

Specialized focus on export-quality products like Azadirachtin, targeting global agriculture and bio-pesticide markets.

Commenced production with cutting-edge solvent extraction technology.

2022

Recognized as a Startup under both:

Crossing Major Financial Milestone

Gowardhan Group crossed Rs 100 Crores (Rs 1000 Million) group turnover, affirming the group's rapid growth and market acceptance.

Extensive R&D on Spent Bleaching Earth Oil (SBEO) and Cashew Nut Shell Liquid (CNSL) as advanced biofuel feedstocks.

2024

Launch of Gowardhan Biochem Private Limited - Unit 2

Commenced work on setting up GBCPL Unit 2 at Potiya, Ahiwara, Durg, Chhattisgarh.

New facility focused on large-scale production of:

Non-Edible Oils (Karanja, Mahua, Kusum, Neem, CNSL)
Biofuel feedstocks like SBEO and CNSL

Planned production capacity: 200 MT/day.

Full alignment with EU RED II standards, focusing on decarbonization, circular economy, and renewable energy.

Strategic initiative to tap into global advanced biofuels market.
